A few months ago I inspected the most awesome villa on Bali’s “Bukit” that seems to be one of the most favored Bali villas for weddings – so much so that they do quite a few every month at “Villa Bukit”, which is situated 16 meters above the beach at the lowest point, on Bali’s peninsula & has direct beach access at low tide. At high tide you can just paddle out and surf at the numerous surf breaks in front of this villa.
It is also one of the Bali villas that Julia Roberts has stayed at on two occasions, & there are other well known Hollywood names that have chosen to stay here! And, there is no shortage of space as there is over 1,800 m2 under roof, set on four levels.
Going back to the subject of Bali villas for weddings, there was a wedding party who was due to check in only an hour after I made my inspection. A minimum of three nights accommodations is required and there is a venue fee of around US $6,000 which works out at about US $14,000 for a wedding. Weddings such as this are always coordinated by an independent wedding planner who also oversees the catering. By Australian standards this in inexpensive, with a kick ass venue that includes a chapel, a detached suite with plunge pool where the newly married couple will spend their first night of wedlock. It is truly awesome!
