This villa was designed in the traditional Balinese open floor plan style, allowing light and air to flow off the rice fields throughout the space. Unlike many villas for rent, this villa is fashioned with “high design” in mind, featuring a unique avant-garde style guaranteed to inspire. All of the furniture and paintings are antique treasures from throughout the Indonesian isles and Colombia.

We’ve complemented antiquities with all of the modern comforts necessary for a luxurious and relaxing stay; including air conditioning in every room and state-of-the-art bathroom fixtures. Our staff has been trained to look after your every need. The big beautiful outdoor kitchen and dining area has high ceilings and traditional alang-alang grass roof. The dining table, a grand wooden art piece carved in the Timor style, seats 8.

The Neighborhood

Surf :
Canggu is one of the gems of Bali. Adored for it’s wide array of surf breaks (Bereawa, Batu Bolong, Old Man’s, Echo Beach, and Perenenan) and relaxed attitude, the area attracts those who enjoy the beach. The area is abundant with surf side beach bars (warungs) and surf-oriented retail and hospitality businesses. Some highlights include Deus Ex Machina, Old Man’s, and Crate Cafe.

Yoga :
With internationally renown Desa Seni and Samadi Bali yoga studios, Canggu attracts conscious travelers who are interested in exploring the spiritual experiences and develop their yoga practice. Many come for yoga teacher trainings and others enjoy the daily classes.
KIDS
Canggu also attracts a lot of families with children, given the abundance of activities for young minds and family-friendly restaurants and beach bars. Check out the offerings at the Canggu Club, now featuring a waterpark and trampoline park.

Adventure :
Given it’s central location in Bali and proximity to the airport, Canggu makes for a really attractive home-base for travelers and locals.
If you wish to explore the island and why wouldn’t you? There is so much to do and see. We are very well located. We are out of the traffic gridlock of Kuta so journey times to Ubud West and East coasts and the center of the island is considerably less. This is why our location is so desired by the ex-pat scene.

Getting Around
Bali is a motorbike island. It’s normal to an entire family on one, or people carrying heavy and cumbersome objects on a motorbike.
Roads are thin, predominantly two-lane, can be curvy, and have some traffic. The bikes for rent in Bali are predominantly automatic, and if you have ever ridden a Vespa or lawnmower, the controls are pretty much the same. We are happy to make arrangements for you to organize a motorbike rental.
We also have an on-call driver. When you make your reservation, we will provide you all of the information you need in order to make your transport arrangements easy and ready-at the drop of a dime.

Other Things to Note
This villa is located on the ricefields, we will occasionally have little visitors like frogs and tokay geckos inside the house, and monitor lizards outside the house. They are harmless and enjoy dining on small insects. If you are petrified of amphibians, this probably is not the house for you. (though fair warning, you will likely find in any house in Bali – part of the deal of the tropics!)

The property has two small cats and two dogs who remain outside the house. They are very friendly, but it’s likely you will not see them as they generally hang out with our neighbors. If you do, feel free to say hello!

Unlike many villas in Bali, the house features air conditioning throughout every room, including the glass enclosed living room space, providing utmost comfort in any season – rainy or dry – for any traveler.
