Villa Damai is situated on the edge of the village of Umalas. The gardens enjoy a 60m palm-fringed river-frontage and overlook the rice fields. Umalas is quiet but contains a number of villas aswell as the famous riding stables. Only 15 minutes walk across the rice padis to Batu Belig beach where some of Bali’s most well-known beachside restaurants can be found & only a few minutes drive to the fashionable Seminyak area that consists of small boutiques, antique shops and some of the highest-quality delicatessan shops and bakeries in Bali.

Accommodation

The property is designed around a traditional Balinese-style open-planed living room that leads to the pool deck and 18m pool.
There is a master suite consisting of bedroom, bathroom and sitting room (air-conditioned) and two verandahs, a principal guest suite, and three further bedrooms all with private, outdoor-garden bathrooms. All rooms are with the highest quality furnishings, curtains and extremely comfortable mattresses. The rooms all benefit from views across the compound.

 

There is also an upper-floor verandah-style living room overlooking the whole property and featuring panoramic views of the river and rice-fields. A separate formal dining room overlooking the pool and rice paddies comfortably accommodates a maximum 12 persons.

 

The gardens are extensive and provide space, serenity and views that complement the atmosphere of this traditionally-styled and private compound.

 

To create a joyful holiday there are 3 TV/DVD/sound systems together with satellite TV connections to 40 stations as well as extension speakers in the dining room. The systems are located in the master suite’s sitting room, the main living room and the upper verandah, and are all of the highest and most up-to-date standards being the latest Bose Lifestyle models and Philips Pixel-Plus TVs.

 

Last but not least, we have a championship tennis court with a hard-court surface.
